HoloPlan QR Code Generator for Jira – User Guide
The HoloPlan QR Code Generator bridges the gap between your physical enterprise assets and digital Jira workflows. By generating asset-linked QR codes, field technicians can instantly access, track, and update Jira issues hands-free using smart glasses or mobile devices.
This guide includes the mandatory configuration steps required to link your Jira instance with the HoloPlan AR/VR Portal.
1. Getting Started & Installation
To begin using the application within your Atlassian ecosystem:
Navigate to the Atlassian Marketplace from your Jira instance.
Search for HoloPlan QR Code Generator and click Install.
Once installed, navigate to the HoloPlan QR Code generation configuration page to set up portal connectivity.
2. Initial Setup & Store Configuration
Before generating issue tags, you must connect Jira to your HoloPlan portal environment. Complete the following fields in the Store Configuration section:
API URL: Enter your dedicated portal connection endpoint (e.g., [https://holoplan.atlassian.net](https://holoplan.atlassian.net)). This URL establishes the direct bridge to your HoloPlan AR/VR Portal.
Project: Click the dropdown menu to select the specific Jira project whose assets and issues you want to map.
Save Configuration: Click the blue Save Configuration button to finalize the link. If you ever need to clear these settings and start over, click the red Reset button in the top right corner.
3. Generating and Exporting QR Codes
Once the initial configuration is complete, the application activates its dual-purpose tracking features:
A. Mobile Device Configuration Sync (App Deployment)
As soon as the settings are saved, a master setup QR code is generated under the QR Code section of the configuration page.
